Alan Rosenberg is principal for Alan B. Rosenberg Healthcare Consulting, Inc., and a member of the EXCITE International Payers' Advisory Committee.

Alan Rosenberg, MD, has decades of practical experience in healthcare leadership and medical affairs. Dr. Rosenberg is currently the principal for Alan B. Rosenberg Healthcare Consulting, Inc.

Previously, Dr. Rosenberg served as Vice President, Medical and Clinical Pharmacy Policy at Anthem. There, Dr. Rosenberg led the design and deployment of hundreds of medical policies, clinical guidelines, and medical management programs, including recent initiatives onsite for outpatient care procedures (infusions, surgeries, radiology) as well as assessments on impacts of new biopharmaceutical and gene replacement therapies.

He has also held different positions at Aetna as Vice President of Medical Affairs and Medical Director, Rush Prudential Health Plan as Chief Medical Officer, and Michael Reese Hospital.

Dr. Rosenberg is a current Board Chair for URAC (a major accreditation organization for quality of medical and pharmacy care services) and serves on the Boards of the National Headache Foundation and JustMedicine.

He has also served on a variety of governmental advisory Boards including for the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and chaired AHIP's Comparative Effectiveness Committee.

Lastly, Dr. Rosenberg has contributed to numerous research papers, panel discussions, and presentations at a range of professional committees and conferences and peer reviewed articles in major medical journals.
