Páll Jónsson, PhD, is Associate Director for Research and Development at UK’s National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), and a member of EXCITE International's Advisory Council and Payers' Advisory Committee.
Páll Jónsson leads NICE's contribution to a portfolio of international research projects which support NICE in adapting to policy developments in health and social care delivery.
Dr. Jónsson has a doctorate degree in biochemistry and bioinformatics from University College London and has expertise in health technology assessments of drugs and diagnostics at NICE.
Before joining NICE, he gained research experience in academia, the not-for-profit sector, and the pharmaceutical industry.
Dr. Jónsson sits on advisory boards of several international projects in the area of health technology assessment and evidence generation.
