Kathrine Myhre established the cluster Oslo Medtech and has since the start been the CEO of the organization even when it was renamed to Norway Health Tech, a mature cluster organization.
Kathrine Myhre established the cluster Oslo Medtech in 2009 and has since the start been the CEO of the organization. The cluster changed name in August 2017 to Norway Health Tech, and is today a mature cluster organization with more than 200 members including Medtech, pharma, eHealth and Digital health companies, R&D-institutions, hospitals and local health authorities, international companies and investors. Norway Health Tech where granted status as a Norwegian Centre of Expertise (NCE) of the Norwegian cluster program in June 2015, and gold label clusterstatus from EU in 2016.
After finishing her Master degree in Political Science from the University of Reading, UK in 2001, Kathrine Myhre worked with innovation strategies and business creation based on novel research from the University of Oslo (UiO) until 2008 - from 2004 until 2008 as the Director of Innovation at Birkeland Innovation (now lnven2), the technology transfer office at University of Oslo.
From 2008 she held the position as Director of Innovation at the company IT Fornebu. It was from this position the concept of the cluster was formed and launched in 2009.
